I just upgraded from an Athlon XP 2500+, Radeon X800 to a Core2 Duo E6600 and that same 8800GTS.

It's amazing, I am very happy. It gets nearly 9K in 3dmark06. But of course, Nobuo had to one-up me and get the quad core and 8800GTX...

At first I thought I was getting too old, losing my tfc skills, and slow to adapt to the TF2 gameplay. Turns out it was just video card lag. Upgrading from an ATI x800 to the 8800 is like going from night to day and improved my soldier rocket aim tenfold. That and TF2 looks that much more amazing with every option turned on and set high. Thanks Bone for the review!

Yeh at the time I felt it was the best bang for the buck. And it still seems pretty good right now. It makes me fell good that the price hasn't dropped from when I bought it either.
